Registration is free

Registration in the System for Award Management is free. Any business can complete it at no cost at sam.gov. The federal government will never charge you to register, update, or renew, and will never ask for payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, or wire transfer.

Free assistance is available from the Federal Service Desk and from APEX Accelerators, which are funded to help small businesses at no charge. Our fees pay only for our own optional preparation and support services. They are not a government fee and they do not buy access to any government system.

No guarantee of work, award, or eligibility

An active registration allows a business to be considered for federal contract awards and to be paid. It does not make you eligible for any specific contract, it does not qualify you for any set aside or certification program, and it does not guarantee that you will receive any work, revenue, or opportunity.

Nothing on this website is a promise, projection, or representation about how much money you will make or how many contracts you will win. Results depend on your capabilities, your pricing, your market, your competition, and factors outside anyone's control.

Dollar ranges shown on this website describe federal purchasing thresholds set by regulation.
